Final Fantasy VI update10-06-11
Today marks the release of a new set of patches, the first such creations for Final Fantasy VI that were not designed with the intention of correcting an error. The purpose of this project, simply put, is to restore the colors in the Game Boy Advance editions to their former state. A handful of supplementary patches have been included to address various inconsistencies. For comparative purposes, a collection of images has been published, which can be accessed from the same section. A series of ROM maps should be released in the foreseeable future for the purpose of diffusing my findings.
In addition, a new bug fix has been introduced, one that addresses a vexatious issue with the inventory; it bears mentioning that a handful of additional patches will be released in the near future without further notice. I have also taken this opportunity to revise the list of event bits, for the purpose of implementing a number of corrections and improvements.
Final Fantasy VI documents26-11-09
Several documents containing disassembled code from Final Fantasy VI are now available. Of particular interest is a commented disassembly of bank EE, which is the result of several months of research. These documents are likely to be updated on a regular basis, without further notification.
It should be noted that a number of patches and documents will be released or updated during the weeks to come.

A new document is available from the respective section. It covers with unparallelled accuracy the occurrence probabilities for all the items consigned to the Auction House in Jidoor. If you are into statistics and probabilities, this document should not disappoint.
Even though much remains to be done, I would like to use this opportunity to request assistance with an ongoing project, which is a low-level game guide for the SNES version of Final Fantasy VI. I am looking for someone whose English is flawless or nearly so. Such a person will be expected to fulfill two interrelated roles. One is to write sentences and paragraphs that will substitute those I deem inferior to normal quality standards prevailing in the document. The other is to read my entire work and ensure that the English is of the highest possible quality. Here is an excerpt that illustrates my writing style: download.

I am pleased to announce the release of a new document entitled “Event Bits List.” I have been working on this, among other projects, in fits and starts across several years now, and it's nice to see the effort bear some fruit. I hope you will find it useful.
I have also taken this opportunity to make some minor changes to the content of several table files. A list of changes is included in the update.
Breath of Fire document11-09-08
I have decided to compile a complete list of the experience requirements in Breath of Fire, as I could not find such a list anywhere. It can naturally be found in the documents section.
Final Fantasy VI patches22-08-08
As promised, I have added patches for Final Fantasy VI, bringing the total to seventeen. I also used this opportunity to expand on the entry for the Transportation Device Fix, as it now contains an image that illustrates the mismatching tile.
New Final Fantasy VI section09-08-08
A new page containing patches for various versions of Final Fantasy VI has been created. Currently, there are a dozen bug fixes available, with more to come shortly.
Final Fantasy VI documents25-07-08
It has been almost two months since my last update, so I figured I am due for an entry since I have news. A project I have been working on for quite some time, but was never really able to finish it until today—as I finally managed to attain a satisfactory level of achievement—is a set of table files for various versions of Final Fantasy VI. Along with them I have released a series of text dumps produced from the aforementioned files. All are available from the documents section.
New sections05-06-08
A new page with information about the monsters of Golvellius has been added. The list is not intended to be exhaustive; for those who would like more information on any of these monsters, a more complete list should eventually be available for download as a text file.
In other news, the Breath of Fire and Final Fantasy VI sections are finally up and running, albeit fairly empty at the moment.
New Golvellius section24-05-08
After a brief hiatus, I have added a section that contains patches for Golvellius. Currently available are a dozen bug fixes, as well as a translation, which shall no longer be available from the navigation menu.
More Golvellius maps02-05-08
I have created maps of all the caves in Golvellius and have added them to the new “Cave Maps” section, which is accessible from the navigation menu for Golvellius.
The ribbon has been cut!21-04-08
After almost three years of delays, I finally got myself a website! What a miracle, eh? So, I guess I'll just post all of my game-related work here. This should prove to be an interesting adventure. I hope you will enjoy this site. Obviously, it is not the best design ever made—and it is far from complete—but that is likely to change as the site evolves.
Please note that for the moment, the materials published on this site are solely dedicated to Golvellius, an action RPG for the MSX. Expect the situation to change soon.
